About Custom Wordle

Custom Wordle is a free puzzle maker: type a word, get a link that opens a ready-to-play guessing grid. Hints, win messages and difficulty are yours to set; the puzzle lives entirely in the link, with no accounts and no server storing anything.

Why this site exists

The daily word games own one word per day, and everyone guesses the same thing — fine for small talk, useless for making your brother sweat over the name of his own childhood pet. The existing custom makers tended to stop at the link, or wrap it in ads, or promise features their pages contradict. This site is the third version: the maker, a proper play page with stats that stay on your device, and honest fine print about how the link encoding works — written for friends, families and classrooms rather than for an app store.

What it believes

Three principles shape every page. Local by default: puzzles are encoded in the link itself; your games and stats live in your browser; the site has no user database because it needs none. Free means free: no premium words, no puzzle limits, no account. Honest mechanics: the link encoding is decoded on the maker page in plain words — light encoding, not encryption — and every claim on the classroom page is something a teacher can do in five minutes.
